Manchester Mayfield Not my usual sort of images. I had the chance to have a tour around this dis-used railway station, situated adjacent to Manchester Piccadilly. The station opened in 1910 and closed in 1986. The whole 24 acre site is now going to be redeveloped into a park, offices, hotel and homes.
So take a look at some Urban Exploration (Urbex) images from the visit.

Not my choice of subject matter either, but you have certainly captured the sad depressive nature of this derelict railway station. Perfectly suited to Monochrome, the stark graphic quality in the images works well with this type of location. I don’t intend to pick favourites, as they work well as a complete set, each image complimenting the others.
